Details

This popular assessment provides an objective indication of a child's early concept formation and symbolisation, abilities which precede and develop alongside receptive and expressive language.

• The child is credited with scores for each response and for each connection made when presented with four sets of miniature toys.
• These situations include, for example, ‘relates spoon to cup or saucer' or ‘lines up tractor and trailer'.
• The record form also provides space to make a running record of observed play features which are not necessarily included within the formal scoring system.
